Welcome to the 9th Grade Academy- JROTC

Yes, the end of the school year is fast approaching and everyone is hyped!. You don't want to miss out on anything but we must be sure to close the year out right.

JROTC's mission is "…to motivate young people to be better citizens." Our classes emphasize effective communications, teamwork, history, geography, health and fitness, service learning and most importantly high school graduation with honors. Its serious stuff but we have fun too.

On May 14th at the Washington National Guard Armory we'll be helping the Mayor with his Annual Senior's Day. On May 15th we'll be competing in the excitiing DCPS City-Wide Drill Competitions. And then on May 16th we'll be attending "War Stories" at the Carnegie Institution and the 2nd Annual GI Film Festival premiere of "The Flyboys". Most exciting of all is Junior Cadet Leadership Camp at Fort AP Hill, in Bowling Green, VA from 15-20 Jun 08.

The school year is ending but you don't have to miss out. So let's talk about JROTC. Please contact us for more about what we're doing and how to join in.
